Hollywood, FL (November 11, 2021) – <\/b>A fatal traffic accident occurred in the early morning hours of Thursday, November 11 in Hollywood. The incident was reported to authorities in the area at approximately 4:00 a.m.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sources state that the wreck occurred on State Road 7 in the vicinity of Hallandale Beach Boulevard. Officers with the Broward Sheriff\u2019s Office say a motor scooter and a white Jaguar were involved in a collision at the intersection.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What caused the crash to occur is still being investigated by police. The driver of the scooter was killed in the accident, according to information provided by the sheriff\u2019s office. Their identity has not been released at this time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Both the northbound and southbound lanes of the intersection were closed for approximately six hours while police investigated and crews worked to clear the scene. Lanes reopened at approximately 10:00 a.m., reports showed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Traffic homicide detectives in Broward County are in contact with the driver of the Jaguar in an attempt to determine the circumstances of the fatal collision. Nothing further has currently been reported.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
