The incident was reported to officials in the area at around 4:00 a.m.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reports indicate that the wreck occurred near Alton Road and 63rd Street when a vehicle crashed near the intersection for reasons still under police investigation. Paramedics rendered aid to the two injured parties on-site and transported them both to area hospitals for treatment.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The male driver sustained serious injuries and the female passenger was pronounced deceased at the hospital shortly after the crash occurred. The man was said to be in surgery hours later but no details on his current condition were provided.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Authorities are working to determine the cause of the incident.
