Macclenny, FL (September 26, 2021) – <\/b>Two people died and another was injured during a two-car accident on Friday, September 24th in Baker County.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Florida Highway Patrol reported that a blue Mercury Grand Marquis occupied by two men, 48 and 32-years-old, was heading southbound on County Road 23A. For reasons still under investigation, the car crossed over the centerline and into the path of a gold Ford F150 pick-up truck being driven by a 23-year-old male.<\/span><\/p>\n

The right side of the car collided with the front left of the truck, causing both vehicles to spin into the ditch on the shoulder of the road.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Both the driver and passenger in the Mercury died at the scene. Their names have not been released pending family notification.<\/span><\/p>\n

The driver of the Ford sustained non-critical injuries during the impact.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This accident is under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.<\/span><\/p>\n
