Jacksonville, FL (September 26, 2021) – <\/b>A woman was killed when her car went underneath a tractor-trailer on Saturday, September 25th in Jacksonville.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at about 3:00 a.m. when a 24-year-old woman was driving a black Toyota Corolla northbound on Duval Road. At that time, a white Freightliner tractor-trailer being operated by a 57-year-old male attempted to make a U-Turn, causing the trailer to block all lanes of travel.<\/span><\/p>\n

The woman struck the trailer and her vehicle shot under it. The car then flew over the grass shoulder and crashed into a tree.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The driver died at the scene.<\/span><\/p>\n

The truck operator was unharmed during the incident.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

FHP is investigating the crash, and charges are pending.<\/span><\/p>\n
