At around 12:00 a.m., two vehicles collided at the intersection of Boynton Beach Boulevard and Winchester Park Boulevard.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Police stated that the wreck occurred when a silver Volkswagen Jetta was headed east on Boynton Beach Boulevard at excessive speeds when it collided with a black Hyundai Elantra stopped at the red light. The impact of the crash caused the Elantra to catch on fire.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Hyundai Elantra then struck a sidewalk and a cement utility pole and became fully engulfed in flames. The driver, only identified as male, and his female passenger lost her life in the crash. Neither of their names has been released at this time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The driver of the Jetta was sent to the hospital with injuries deemed non-life-threatening.
