The incident was reported to officials in the area at around 3:00 a.m.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to reports, the wreck happened on West Boynton Beach Road near Knuth Road when a white Ford 250 was traveling west on West Boynton Beach Boulevard. A Black Honda Accord approached the back of the truck while speeding, officials stated.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Honda was unable to slow down and struck the left rear corner of the Ford, forcing it to collide with a concrete utility pole. The Ford\u2019s driver and front-seat passenger were transported to an area medical center with non-life-threatening injuries, reports showed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The backseat passenger present in the Ford at the time, however, was transported via trauma alert with critical injuries. Police stated that the Honda\u2019s driver, who only suffered minor injuries, is suspected of driving while intoxicated and charges are currently pending.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The identities of those involved have not been released at this time.
