Sanford, FL (July 11, 2021) – <\/b>Two people were killed and four were injured on Sunday, July 11th in a car accident on Interstate 4 in Sanford.<\/span><\/p>\n

A 64-year-old man from Deltona was traveling eastbound on Interstate 4 in the area of State Road 46 at about 1:00 a.m. when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a guardrail.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The car then veered back onto the highway where it collided with a pick-up truck heading in the same direction.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

His passenger, a 57-year-old woman, was pronounced deceased at the scene.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The driver was transported by paramedics to Central Florida Regional Hospital, where he passed away due to his injuries.<\/span><\/p>\n

The driver of the pickup truck, a 38-year-old man from Jacksonville, and his three passengers all sustained non-critical injuries.<\/span><\/p>\n

The crash remains under investigation.<\/span><\/p>\n
