Just before 7:00 p.m., the fatal accident happened on I-595.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Officers with the Florida Highway Patrol along with Davie Fire Rescue personnel were called to assist those at the scene. The wreck happened in the westbound lanes of Interstate 595 near State Road 7 for reasons still being investigated by police.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to officials, a vehicle ran into a construction truck. The driver of the vehicle lost their life at the scene of the collision.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The construction worker suffered injuries in the crash, though they are expected to recover.
